Remove duplicate pages from a PDF
Three signals find repeated pages — identical content, identical text, and how the pages actually look. Nothing is removed until you tick it, and the first copy is always kept.

Common questions
Frequently asked questions
How does it decide two pages are duplicates?
Three separate signals, and it tells you which one matched. Identical page content means the two pages came from the same source object inside the file — a copy made during assembly — and cannot be a false alarm. Identical text catches a page that was re-exported rather than copied. A rendered comparison is the only signal that catches a duplicated scan, since scans have no text to compare. Each one is reported with its own confidence rather than blended into a single verdict you cannot inspect.
Will it delete a page I actually need?
It cannot: it never removes anything on its own. Every candidate is listed with the page it would keep and the reason it was raised, and only the signal that cannot be wrong — identical content — is ticked when the list appears. Text and appearance matches are shown unticked, because a signature page, a certificate page or a form where only the handwriting differs will match by text and is not a duplicate.
Are blank separator pages treated as duplicates?
No, and this is deliberate. Blank pages are excluded from text matching entirely. A scanned bundle often carries a blank sheet between exhibits, and twelve identical blank pages are the document's structure rather than eleven copies of one page. They are counted and reported so you know they were set aside.
Does duplicate page removal upload my PDF to a server?
No. The file is opened, processed and saved back by code running in this browser tab — there is no upload endpoint on our servers to send it to. You can watch the Network panel in your browser's developer tools while you work and confirm nothing carrying the document leaves the page.
Is Remove Duplicate Pages free?
Remove Duplicate Pages is free, with no account required and no page or file-size caps imposed by the plan.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once the page has loaded, every tool keeps working with the network disconnected, because the processing never depended on a server round-trip. AI features that use an on-device model need one download the first time; after that they run offline too.
