Terms of
Service.
Short version: the documents you open in PDFMacro never leave your device, and we treat your account as nothing more than a way to verify your subscription. The full terms follow.
1. The service
PDFMacro is a browser-based PDF platform. Every tool — redaction, OCR, Bates numbering, conversion, editing — executes entirely on your device, inside your browser tab. We do not operate a document processing service: there is no server that receives, stores, or processes your files.
Because processing is local, the output you export is produced by your own machine. You are responsible for reviewing any document you produce with PDFMacro before relying on or distributing it.
2. Your documents and your content
Your documents are read into your browser's memory, processed by code running on your device, and written back through your browser's own download mechanism. We never receive a copy. We therefore cannot access, recover, lost-and-found, or disclose your documents — including in response to a request we would want to honour.
You keep every right in the documents you process. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership of your content to us, because we never have it in the first place.
3. Accounts and sign-in
Most of PDFMacro works without an account. Where you choose to sign in (including with Google), your account is used solely to verify your subscription and keep your entitlements consistent across devices. We store your email address and account identifier, and the records of your plan — nothing about your documents, because we never see them.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use PDFMacro to break the law, to infringe someone else's rights, or to tamper with the service itself — including attempting to circumvent licensing, reselling access, or interfering with other users. Automated abuse of the site may be blocked.
5. Subscriptions, trials and payment
Paid plans renew for the period you selected until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. Where a free trial is offered, it converts only if you let it. Refunds are handled case by case — contact us and we will work with you in good faith.
6. Disclaimers
PDFMacro is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that every tool will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that output will be fit for your particular purpose. You remain responsible for verifying documents before filing, service, or reliance — particularly legal filings.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDFMacro and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or opportunity arising from your use of the service. Because your documents stay on your device, the most common failure modes of cloud tools — a breached server, a leaked bucket — are architecturally impossible here; we still can't rule out every bug.
7. Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use PDFMacro after a change means you accept the updated terms.
8. Contact
Questions about these terms, your account, or a refund: reach us through the support channels on the site or write to us — we read everything.
If any part of this page is unclear, tell us and we will rewrite it in plain language rather than lawyer it up.
