Security & governance
Most PDF tools ask you to trust a cloud pipeline. PDFMacro removes the pipeline: the file is read into browser memory and never leaves it, so there is no transfer and no remote processing layer to assess.
Documents are parsed and written in the browser. There is no endpoint that receives file content.
Parsing, rendering, redaction, stamping, OCR and export all run in the browser tab or its Web Workers.
We have no technical ability to view, retain or disclose your documents, because we never receive them.
After first load the app runs offline; a Service Worker caches the shell, the WASM modules and the OCR language packs.
Content is removed from the PDF content stream and evidenced with a verification certificate.
The core modules are held in escrow, so the toolkit stays alive even if the company does not.
