Straighten scanned pages

Measures the tilt on scanned pages and straightens them. Refuses pages that have a text layer.

Deskew measures how far each scanned page is tilted, using the fact that a document's text forms horizontal lines: it finds the angle at which those lines stack most sharply. Correcting a tilt means re-rendering the page as an image, which permanently removes its text layer, its annotations and its crisp type — so it only touches pages that have no text layer to lose, skips anything already straighter than a third of a degree, and tells you what it skipped and why. A born-digital PDF is not skewed, and the right answer for one is to leave it alone.
