Edit text in a PDF
Replaces a line of existing text in place, matching the original font.
Edit text replaces text that is already in the PDF. Click any line on the page and type over it; the font, size and colour are detected from the original so the replacement matches. The original glyphs are removed from the page's content stream rather than covered over, so the old wording is not left behind in the file where it could still be copied or searched — and if that removal cannot be applied to a particular run, the export is blocked instead of producing a document with both versions in it. Use Add text for new text on blank space, and Redact when the point is to remove sensitive content rather than change it.

Nothing leaves your device — the document is processed locally in this browser.
This tool changes or removes content. It writes a new copy — the file you opened on disk is never modified — but check the result before you rely on it.
Typed into the workspace command bar, any of these opens this tool. They are the assistant's own routing examples, not a rewrite of them.
