Translate a PDF
Translate the open PDF with your own AI: the same pages in another language, or a Word or text file.
Translate a PDF translates the open document with YOUR AI (your OpenAI, Claude or Gemini key, or Ollama / LM Studio). Choose the same layout, where the original text is removed and the translation drawn in its place, or a Word or text file with the whole translation. The PDF output covers Latin, Cyrillic and Greek scripts; Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew and Hindi are offered as Word or text. After each run it lists anything to check: numbers that changed, paragraphs that didn't fit, scanned pages.
Needs a live connection every time it runs — see the note beside this about where the request goes.
The document's paragraphs go from this browser to the provider your key belongs to, or to your own local server. Nothing goes to PDFMacro. The panel says how many characters and requests before anything is sent.
Scanned pages need OCR first. Rotated or vertical text is left as it is. Long translations may shrink to fit; the Word output always has the full text.
Typed into the workspace command bar, any of these opens this tool. They are the assistant's own routing examples, not a rewrite of them.
