What do I need to run a mail merge?
Two files: a PDF template that already has named form fields, and a CSV whose column headers match those field names. Each row of the CSV becomes one filled PDF. If your template has no fields yet, the field-recognition step inside Mail Merge can detect the blanks on a flat form and create real fields from them.
What comes out at the end?
One personalised PDF per row, named from a column you choose, so a hundred-row CSV produces a hundred correctly-named files rather than one document you have to split. The whole run happens on your machine — a merge over a list of clients never sends that list anywhere.
Does Mail Merge upload my PDF to a server?
No. The file is opened, processed and saved back by code running in this browser tab — there is no upload endpoint on our servers to send it to. You can watch the Network panel in your browser's developer tools while you work and confirm nothing carrying the document leaves the page.
Is Batch Mail Merge free?
Batch Mail Merge is part of PDFMacro Pro. You can read what it does and open the tool on any plan; running it requires a subscription. The tool opens and explains itself on any plan; running a batch is what requires the subscription.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once the page has loaded, every tool keeps working with the network disconnected, because the processing never depended on a server round-trip. AI features that use an on-device model need one download the first time; after that they run offline too.
